Ferran Torres has been the super sub Hansi Flick’s project at Barcelona so dearly required in attack and it is safe to say that he has been one of the team’s most in-form members despite not being a regular in the starting lineup.
Breaking into an XI that includes an in-form Raphinha, Lamine Yamal and the Pichichi leader Robert Lewandowski is almost impossible for any player in the world, but Ferran has continually made a case for regular minutes.
As relayed in a recent update by SPORT, the Spaniard could well have his chance to impress from the first minute in the team’s upcoming clash in the Copa del Rey against Atletico Madrid.
Indeed, Hansi Flick might start Ferran Torres as a striker against Diego Simeone in an attempt to surprise the Argentine tactician.
After all, Torres has been very clinical in front of goal during his recent cameos, and the dynamic movement he brings to the final third will be critical in breaking down Atletico Madrid’s organized defence.

Furthermore, the former Manchester City ace has been among the goals in the cup competition, with four goals from five games.
The player thus has great chances to start in the trident alongside Raphinha, who has been deemed fit to start, and Lamine Yamal who is a regular in the XI.
With Fermin Lopez likely to occupy the attacking midfield, Barcelona will look to disorient the hosts’ defence with players’ movement off the ball and passing prowess. Needless to say, Gavi also has a good chance of starting in the attacking midfield.
So far this season, Torres has scored nine goals and provided two assists for Barcelona in La Liga, and adds up to another three-goal contributions in the UEFA Champions League.
Notably, he scored two goals after coming off the bench in Barcelona’s recent 4-2 win over Los Rojiblancos in Madrid and it is not surprising to see why the manager sees him to be the better option as the striker tomorrow.
