Having already won the Spanish Super Cup, the Copa del Rey, and the La Liga titles, and having been eliminated from the UEFA Champions League semi-finals, FC Barcelona do not have any titles left to compete for this season.
However, they still have two matches left to play before the 2024-25 season would well and truly be over for them.
While these two matches would not affect their pursuit of their main objectives for this season, a report from Mundo Deportivo notes the team still has several individual and group challenges to overcome in these two games.
One of the most prominent individual challenges involves Robert Lewandowski, who is still a contender for the Pichichi title. The Pole is currently second in the league’s goalscoring charts, being three goals behind the Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe, who took advantage of Lewandowski’s injury to overtake him.
The Polish veteran has not scored in the last seven games, but his last goal came in the match against Girona. He missed two of these games with an injury and had only a substitute appearance in El Clásico.
Another milestone that Lewandowski would be looking to reach in these two remaining games would be reaching his century of goals with Barcelona. He has been stuck on 99 goals since the UCL quarter-final game against Borussia Dortmund that came early in April.

His scoring some goals in these two matches would also help the trident that he forms along with Lamine Yamal and Raphinha reach their century of goals this season, whose 91 goals so far are still some way from this target.
Similarly, winning the remaining two games would allow Barcelona to extend their winning run in La Liga in 2025, as they have 15 wins and 2 draws so far. Furthermore, Hansi Flick’s team has scored 97th league goals, and reaching the 100-goal mark would allow them to match some of the most successful league seasons in the club’s history.
Overall, the Blaugrana team has scored 169 goals, the fifth-best tally in their history, and six more goals would allow the team to reach the figure of 175, the same number of goals scored by the treble-winning team in 2014-15. However, the club record of 190 goals remains out of their reach this season.
