Barcelona starlet remains determined to convince Flick after ‘sudden disappearance’ from team | OneFootball

Pablo Torre is going through a rough phase at FC Barcelona with minutes hardly forthcoming for him under Hansi Flick.

The 21-year-old midfield starlet has made a big impression at every chance he has received but game-time continues to elude him.

Torre not giving up hope

Given the situation, it is easy for a player to become disillusioned and start thinking about the future.

But, according to Mundo Deportivo, Torre is not giving up that easily. The youngster refuses to lose hope and remains determined to convince Hansi Flick despite his ‘sudden disappearance’ from the team.

The attacking midfielder has played just 12 minutes in the last seven matches, with his only appearance during this period coming in Barça’s 7-1 La Liga victory over Valencia – that too only after Gavi requested the manager to send Torre on instead of him.

He has not featured in any of the last five matches against Atalanta, Alaves, Valencia, Sevilla, and Rayo Vallecano and his last start came in the Copa del Rey against Barbastro in early January.

So far this season, Torre has played in only 12 of Barcelona’s 37 official matches, but when given the chance, he has been effective in front of goal, scoring four goals and providing three assists.

Torre was being courted by several clubs in the winter transfer window, but refused to leave. Even though his situation has hardly improved, the midfielder remains fully committed to Barcelona’s project.

The former Racing Santander prodigy has not abandoned his goal of convincing Flick and remains confident that his moment will come.

Torre acknowledges that he could be playing more, but also understands that competition in midfield is fierce and that earning a place in the team requires hard work.

As such, despite interest from Premier League clubs, he has no intention of entertaining any offers. His sole focus is on proving himself at Barcelona and making his mark at the club.
