Barcelona youngster Marc Casadó has already done enough to convince the Spanish national team coaching staff of his readiness to play a prominent role for his country over the years ahead.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have today provided an insight into the situation.
Midfielder Casadó, for his part, is fresh off something of a whirlwind week.
After being afforded a first-ever senior call-up at international level, the 21-year-old was handed his debut off the bench against Denmark, before being thrown in from the off in a meeting with Switzerland on Monday.
And it was the latter outing in which Casadó went on to truly announce himself to the Spanish faithful.
Shining from his berth in the middle of the park, the Barcelona academy product showcased precisely why he has been a near ever-present in Hansi Flick’s engine room setup thus far this season.
Cool and calm in possession, and full of vigour out of it, Casadó put forth the kind of performance befitting of a player much his senior.
And as much, as alluded to above, did not go at all unappreciated on the part of Luis de la Fuente and his staff.
As per a report from MD:
‘Casadó has convinced the coach and La Roja’s entourage. There is no debate. If he continues at this level he will be a regular in the national team, even more so now that Rodri is not there.’
