Barcelona starlet available for only €3m as contract clause comes into effect | OneFootball

Hansi Flick is running the rule over his entire Barcelona squad during pre-season, and one of those being assessed is young left-back, Alex Valle. In recent months, it’s been reported that Valle is favourite to act as backup to Alejandro Balde, who will be the starter for the upcoming season, although it’s not certain that this will actually be the case.

Valle has chances to leave before the closing of the summer transfer window, as it’s been reported by Relevo that his release clause has dropped from €30m to €3m. A stipulation in his contract, which expires in 2025, stated that this would come into effect if he was not registered as a first team player by the 1st of August – which has not happened.

Valle appears closer to the exit door when taking into account that he is not considered to be the ideal backup to Balde, as MD say that Gerard Martin – who started against Manchester City earlier this week – is preferred at this stage.

Several clubs are said to be interested in Valle, so the odds of him leaving Barcelona are fairly high. The only way that they can stop him from leaving for €3m is if a new contract can be agreed upon.
