Barcelona star Marc-André ter Stegen will be sidelined for longer than outlined in his recent surgery announcement.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Friday provided an insight into the situation.
The name of goalkeeper Ter Stegen has of course taken its place centre stage in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the last 24 hours.
This comes after the German took to his official social media platforms, to announce his decision to undergo surgery for a niggling back concern.
As part of the statement, Ter Stegen revealed his hope of returning to the pitch in a period of ‘about three months’.
As alluded to above, however, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then the 33-year-old, in fact, is expected to be sidlined for quite a bit longer…
As per a report from Sport:
‘According to the doctors consulted, the time out will be between four and five months.’
