The mounting tensions between La Liga champions Barcelona and goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen have taken another turn for the worse.

This comes amid confirmation that the German has banned club doctors from visiting his home.

Ter Stegen is of course fresh off being stripped of the captain’s armband in Hansi Flick’s squad on Thursday.

As much comes following a string of transgressions on the part of the 33-year-old, most notably his refusal to sign the club’s medical report regarding the extent of his back injury.

And as alluded to above, on Friday, news of yet another harsh stance taken by Ter Stegen with Barcelona has come to the fore online.

The info comes courtesy of Diario Sport, who confirm that, since undergoing surgery on his back last week:

‘After returning to Barcelona, and after the Barça medical services showed their desire to travel to the German international’s private home to check the evolution in the postoperative period, Ter Stegen said that under no circumstances was he going to tolerate any doctor from the club setting foot in his home to assess his state of health.’
