A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona has rebuffed a transfer offer on the part of Saudi outfit Al-Nassr this summer.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Andreas Christensen as the player in question.
The subject of stopper Christensen’s future has of course proven a prominent one in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over recent weeks.
This comes after Barcelona sporting director Deco confirmed during an interview with La Vanguardia that the club are planning to part with at least one of their group of senior central defenders with a view to next season.
With just a year remaining on his contract terms, and fresh off an injury-ravaged campaign in 2024/25, Christensen, in turn, was quickly singled out as the odd man out in the media.
If the latest word stemming from Spain over the last 24 hours is anything to go by, however, then the former Chelsea man appears ready to do whatever it takes to stay put.
As per Sport, Christensen is determined to see out the final year of his contract at the Camp Nou, establishing himself as an important figure in the plans of boss Hansi Flick along the way.
So much so that the 29-year-old has rejected a proposal on the part of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr, featuring a massive wage packet.
