Those behind the scenes at La Liga giants Barcelona have been left somewhat in the dark when it comes to the intentions of midfield star Fermín López for the days ahead.

That’s according to Jose Alvarez Haya of El Chiringuito TV, who has provided a fresh update on the situation.

Fermín’s future, of course, currently stands as a headline talking point in Catalunya’s capital.

As much comes with the 22-year-old the subject of an ongoing transfer assault on the part of Premier League heavyweights Chelsea.

Initially, Fermín was expected to knock as much back, having always remained steadfast when it comes to his commitment to the cause at Barcelona.

The understanding, however, is that the attacking midfielder has had his head turned by the potential money on offer at Stamford Bridge.

And if the latest word stemming from the media over the last 24 hours is anything to go by, then Barca themselves remain completely unaware of what exactly Fermín’s plan entails beyond the transfer deadline.

As per a report from journalist Jose Alvarez Haya:

“Barça believe Fermín has doubts. They asked him about Chelsea and have not received a response from the player.”
