A headline member of the attacking ranks at Barcelona is set to close out the calendar year as the top scorer in La Liga.
The player in question? Robert Lewandowski.
Frontman Lewandowski has for his part actually come in for heavy criticism over recent weeks, amid a concerning dip in form in front of goal.
Prior to as much, though, the Polish international had started the season on fire, to the tune of 16 league goals.
Add to this his 11 from the 2nd half of the 2023/24 campaign, and Lewandowski’s haul of 27 is enough to secure for the former Bayern Munich man the title of top scorer in La Liga over the calendar year.
