Barcelona star admits ‘I had to be subbed off’ in win over Real Madrid | OneFootball

Barcelona star Pedri has revealed that he was left with no choice but to depart the club’s meeting with Real Madrid on Saturday prematurely.

Midfielder Pedri of course featured from the off yesterday evening, as Barcelona made the trip to Seville for the final of the Copa del Rey.

The Blaugrana, when all was said and done, emerged on the right side of the result, in a thrilling 3-2 extra-time triumph.

Pedri, though, was hauled off early in time added on, looking nothing short of exhausted as he made his way from the field of play.

And speaking to the media post-match, the 22-year-old was not shy in admitting that his substitution came owing to nothing short of necessity:

“I had to be suffed off. I couldn’t take it anymore. I had muscle cramps, but after the final whistle the joy of winning a title with my team made me forget all the fatigue.”
