After two full years of renovations, FC Barcelona is set to return to its iconic home, the Spotify Camp Nou, with a match scheduled against Valencia on September 14, right after the international break, pending final approval.
According to Sport, the club's management is now only waiting for the official completion certificate before launching ticket sales. If there are any delays, the match could be pushed back to September 21 against Getafe. The return of fans will happen in phases: the first stage will open the main stand and the south end behind the goal, with a capacity of 27,000 spectators. The side stands will then open, raising capacity to 45,000 in October, and to 60,000 in November.Once all stands and the third tier are completed, Camp Nou will become the largest stadium in Europe, boasting a total capacity of 105,000 spectators.Rafa Yuste, the club's vice president, commented on the stadium permit challenges: "The club will soon announce which stadium we will play in this season and will release an official statement in due course. We are working to finalize every detail quickly to ensure the team’s safe return to Camp Nou."
