Jorge Mendes, the agent representing Lamine Yamal, Alejandro Balde, and Ansu Fati among others, is scheduled to travel to Barcelona shortly for an important meeting with club officials, according to Jijantes.
The visit aims to address two pressing matters: the renewal of Lamine Yamal and the uncertain future of Ansu Fati.
Lamine Yamal’s contract renewal is considered a strategic priority for Barcelona and is reportedly well-advanced. The last hurdle lies in finalising the financial details of the agreement.
Despite Barcelona’s current lack of Financial Fair Play margin, a recent La Liga ruling makes it possible to register the contract, as Yamal is a homegrown player who has been with the club for over three years.

The new deal is expected to come into effect when Lamine turns 18 on 13 July. The agreement would likely extend his contract until at least 2030, securing the future of one of the club’s most promising young talents.
Ansu Fati’s situation is more complex. Although under contract until 2027, the La Masia graduate has struggled for playing time under Hansi Flick.
Barcelona have been exploring options in the transfer market to reinforce the left wing and as such, are keen on getting Fati off the books.
With a high salary and two years remaining on his deal, finding a solution for Ansu’s exit will require careful negotiation. And, Mendes is likely to discuss potential options with the club sporting director Deco and president Joan Laporta during his visit.
