Despite the stellar performances of their attacking trio of Raphinha, Lamine Yamal, and Robert Lewandowski, Barcelona remain keen on bolstering their frontline.

The Blaugrana tried and failed to sign a new left-winger in the winter window but plan to resume their pursuit of a player in the position once again in the summer.

Names such as Rafael Leao and Alexander Isak continue to do the rounds given their past transfer links with the Catalans.

Another such player, who has been linked strongly in the past, appears to be back on the radars for the summer.

Barcelona still interested in Luis Diaz

Indeed, according to reports in England, as relayed by Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona still hold a strong interest in Liverpool and Colombia winger Luis Diaz heading into the summer window of 2025.

Diaz has been on Barcelona’s radar for some time, with the Blaugrana considering a move for him last summer as well, although nothing came of it in the end.

However, Hansi Flick’s side continue to hold the former FC Porto winger in high regard despite their financial constraints and seem willing to make another attempt to sign him before the 2025/26 season.

Saudi Arabia also in the mix

But, as per the report, Barcelona are not the only club pursuing the 28-year-old, as there is also significant interest from Saudi Arabia.

Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal are ready to make substantial offers to bring the Colombian winger to the Middle East.

It is worth noting that Al-Nassr signed Diaz’s compatriot, Jhon Duran, for €77 million this winter, while Al-Hilal are seeking a new superstar following the departure of Neymar.

Liverpool, for their part, do not seem inclined to sell Diaz this summer, given that he has two years remaining on his contract. However, should a lucrative offer arrive, the situation could change.

Following their return to the 1:1 rule, Barcelona could have greater flexibility in terms of Fair Play this summer which might give them an opportunity to go after Diaz’s signing without any major concerns. Only time will tell if they decide to act on the interest.
