Fermin Lopez has been one of FC Barcelona’s standout performers this season. At just 22 years old, he has become a key figure under Hansi Flick, despite not being a guaranteed starter.
The La Masia attacking midfielder ended the campaign with 46 appearances across all competitions in which he produced a return of eight goals and ten assists – very impressive numbers considering that he was not always a regular starter.
Fermin’s impressive campaign has sparked interest from several major European clubs heading into the summer.
Indeed, according to El Chiringuito TV (h/t Catalunya Radio), Chelsea have made a formal offer of €75 million to sign Fermin Lopez from Barcelona this summer.
The deal is said to include the addition of a player as part of the package as well.

While the offer represents a significant financial opportunity for Barcelona, the club currently has no intention of selling the young attacking midfield ace who was one of the unsung heroes of the domestic treble-winning campaign.
Fermin recently signed a contract extension until 2029, which includes a high release clause. As such, Barça have rejected the offer from Chelsea, although they were reportedly surprised by such an aggressive move from the English club.
The report further states that manager Hansi Flick has made it clear that Fermin is not for sale this summer – not for €75 million, and not for €100 million.
The German tactician considers the La Masia midfielder indispensable and believes he still has considerable room to grow under his guidance.
Since breaking into the first-team setup in 2023/24 under Xavi Hernandez, Fermin has enjoyed a steady rise to prominence. And Flick and Barcelona continue to see him as a key part of the future plans.
