It is a must-win game for both teams in the context of the title race. The home side, Barcelona, heading into the game with a four-point lead, can effectively seal the title if they can manage their fourth win over Real Madrid this season.

However, Los Blancos are determined to seek retribution and a win against Barcelona this weekend could help them reduce the gap at the top to just one point.

Barcelona, though, are not in the best of shape heading into this important clash at Montjuic, having suffered a heartbreaking defeat to Inter Milan in midweek.

With team spirits low after the Inter defeat, the Barcelona team went out for lunch together after training today.

This is according to journalist Santi Ovalle, who claims that the team lunch has been planned for quite some time now.

Ovalle adds that this lunch will serve as a team meeting for Barcelona after the Inter Milan defeat and ahead of the Real Madrid encounter.

The lunch has been aimed at uplifting spirits and togetherness in the team heading into this weekend’s Clasico.

Barcelona, after all, cannot afford to lose to Real Madrid, knowing it will enable Los Blancos to push for a late title charge.

After missing out on the Champions League final, Barça won’t be too keen on relinquishing the La Liga title, especially after producing one of the club’s best seasons in quite some time.
