Ansu Fati’s loan move to AS Monaco is now almost complete. As has already been reported, the agreement between Barcelona and the Ligue 1 club is total.
The winger will leave Barcelona for at least one season, hoping to rediscover the consistency that has eluded him in recent years.
Now, as reported by SPORT, Ansu Fati underwent a medical in Monaco on Friday morning, a necessary step before joining his new club.
The 22-year-old La Masia forward flew to Monaco on Thursday evening to undergo the medical tests and finalise everything.
With the medical successfully completed, only administrative paperwork remains, which is not expected to cause any delays.

The official announcement of the loan move is expected within hours – either this Friday or by Monday at the latest.
Although the deal has been in progress for some time, finalising the details took longer than anticipated. The main point of contention was the distribution of Fati’s wages during the loan period.
The breakthrough came through an extension of Fati’s contract – from 2027 to 2028 – which, combined with Monaco covering a portion of his salary, helps Barcelona manage their wage bill.
The Ligue 1 outfit will cover half his salary and have a permanent purchase clause worth €11 million. The Blaugrana are expected to have a buyback option for €28 million.
