One of the Barcelona players who remains linked to an exit this summer is Inaki Pena. The Spanish goalkeeper no longer appears to be in Hansi Flick’s plans, and an exit has seemed likely for quite some time. However, certain complications kept getting in the way.
Previously, it was reported that Wojciech Szczesny’s delayed registration was causing a delay to Pena’s exit plans this summer. Now, however, it seems that his departure might end up taking place soon.

According to SPORT, Pena now looks set to finalise his exit from Barça in the coming hours. Moreover, he has reportedly reached an agreement to extend his contract for one more year, and this will now allow him to leave on loan this summer.
As per the information provided by the report, the most likely destination could be the Italian side Como. They continue to be the side pushing hardest to make the move happen, even though the option of La Liga side Celta Vigo is reportedly there as well.

However, the Catalan club will look to register Szczesny simultaneously as well. With only Joan Garcia and Pena being the only registered Barça goalkeepers for now, it will be crucial for the club to register Szczesny now that the latter looks set to leave.
