La Liga giants Barcelona have kicked into gear negotiations over the signing of a leading member of the club’s summer transfer wishlist.
That’s according to transfer insider Florian Plettenberg of Sky, who points towards Luis Díaz as the player in question.
The name of wide-man Díaz has of course dominated the headlines in Catalunya’s capital for several weeks now.
This comes amid the widespread understanding that the Colombian has been identified as the no.1 summer transfer target on the part of the aforementioned Barcelona.
Amid an ongoing search for reinforcements in the final third, the Blaugrana have identified the former Porto man as the ideal profile.
And if the latest word stemming from the media on Monday is anything to go by, then Barca’s push to land Díaz now appears to be fully up-and-running.
As per a report from the aforementioned Florian Plettenberg:
‘Luis Díaz is one of the main targets for FC Barcelona in the upcoming summer transfer window. Despite the high overall cost and ongoing issues with registration. Initial talks regarding Díaz and FC Barcelona have taken place.’
