Earlier this week, Barcelona were granted a precautionary measure to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor, although that could soon be taken away. The decision of the Higher Sports Council (CSD) has been met with indignation across Spanish football, and La Liga are now aiming to have it reversed.

Upon confirmation being received on Wednesday that Barcelona have been allowed to register Olmo and Victor for the time being, La Liga and the Spanish Football Federation were notified that they could appeal the decision, and the former has now chosen to do so, as reported by Marca.

In fact, La Liga is pushing to have the decision revoked as soon as possible, with a complaint having been filed with the ordinary courts. Their arguments is that the Higher Sports Council’s decision does not conform to their regulations, nor those of the Federation.

Barcelona will be on tenterhooks at this news, as they will be desperate to avoid Olmo and Victor being unregistered for the second time in a matter of weeks. For now, it remains to be seen what the outcome is.
