Paris Saint-Germain cruised to a 3-0 victory over Stade Brestois in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League knockout play-off last Tuesday at Stade de Roudourou, with Ousmane Dembélé scoring twice.
Unless Brest pulls off an incredible comeback, PSG will face either Barcelona or Liverpool in the Round of 16. This dominant performance is another example of the strong form of Luis Enrique’s team.
In their last four games, PSG has outscored their opponents 14-3, with wins over RB Salzburg, Manchester City, VfB Stuttgart, and now Brest. Looking ahead, a matchup against Barcelona or Liverpool will see PSG rely on Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

PSG are unbeaten in Ligue 1 and appear to have found their footing in the Champions League. As a result, they’ll prove to be a complicated opposition to Liverpool or Barcelona.
Moreover, AS Monaco club chief Thiago Scuro made a bold statement that could serve as a warning side to these two sides if they believe that a PSG side with no superstar won’t be a threat.
“This is undoubtedly the best PSG there has ever been, with clear concepts and no defeats in Ligue 1,” Scuro told L’Equipe (h/t Paris Fans). “Considering our budget and the way our squad was built, competing with them would have been very ambitious.
“Marseille is also having a good season, with significant investments made in the summer and this winter. They brought in experienced players and don’t have to play in a European competition, just like we didn’t last year. It’s more comfortable.”
