There is much excitement in the Barcelona camp following the recent announcement of Pedri’s contract extension.
The young midfielder has extended his contract at Barça until 2030, in what could be a significant achievement for the club in their bid to secure futures of their star players.
However, Pedri won’t be the only player to renew his contract this week. In fact, Barça have multiple renewals lined up this week and one of them could be Pedri’s midfield partner, Gavi.
According to Diario SPORT, Gavi will visit Camp Nou offices today to renew his contract and confirm his desire to stay at the club for the foreseeable future.
Barcelona are planning to announce the renewal shortly thereafter. As was the case with Pedri, the release clause of Gavi’s contract will be set at €1 billion.

Barcelona, however, will not announce the value of the release clause in their official statement – a change in policy the club have made following the renewal of Ronald Araujo.
If everything goes well, Gavi will remain at the club of his life during the remainder of the season and five more, until 2030.
The report adds that extending Gavi’s contract was always a priority for Barcelona. Negotiations were on hold last year due to his injury.
But the talks advanced as soon as he returned to full fitness. This year, the youngster has elevated his performances, proving Hansi Flick that he could be an exciting fit into the German’s tactical setup at Barça.
