Earlier in the day, Barcelona confirmed the hamstring injury of star defender Alejandro Balde, who has been ruled out for at least three weeks.

However, Balde was not the only player to have picked up a knock against Leganes. In the same game, his teammates Ronald Araujo and Raphinha had also picked up blows, albeit less severe.

To that end, a recent report from Mundo Deportivo has offered a fresh update on the fitness of both Araujo and Raphinha.

The report confirms that Araujo had suffered discomfort in his hamstring, having left the field at half-time.

Raphinha, meanwhile, finished the game with an ankle injury following a strong tackle at the end of the match.

But much to Barcelona’s relief, both players have received special treatment and are likely to be fit in time for the second leg Champions League quarterfinal tie against Borussia Dortmund.

Will Flick opt for rotation?

That said, Barcelona’s emphatic 4-0 win in the first leg means Hansi Flick has some space for rotation going into the second leg.

Therefore, he has the luxury to rest both Araujo and Raphinha for this game and bring them on only if absolutely required.

Keeping that in mind, it won’t be surprising to see both players start on the bench against Dortmund in the second leg at Signal Iduna Park.

That said, Barça cannot afford to take the tie for granted, knowing Dortmund are more than capable of pulling off a comeback, having recently scored two goals against Bayern Munich to secure a 2-2 draw.
