Ahead of the upcoming game against Sevilla, there are a lot of questions that Barcelona will soon answer. Given that many injured and sidelined players are gradually returning, their impact could be key as well. However, there is still a lot of uncertainty within Barcelona regarding some tactical decisions.

So far this season, the kind of game plan Hansi Flick has adopted has been directly linked to the kind of players at his disposal. By making it a tailor-made plan for his available players, the Barcelona coach has managed to guide the team to the top of the La Liga table.

However, he will soon have a lot more options to be able to count on in the upcoming games. At least four players who were previously unavailable are set to potentially return in the upcoming game against Sevilla and that could be a massive boost for Barcelona.

That does beg the question, however, as to how those players will be integrated back into the team. The likes of Dani Olmo, Gavi, and Fermin Lopez are all exceptional players, but Hansi Flick has revealed how he expects their involvement against Sevilla to play out, as highlighted by Mundo Deportivo:

Gavi will surely be on the bench, and I like to see him train. He has a great attitude. The same goes for Fermín, and he will likely play. Dani will be on the bench, but we will focus more on Wednesday (Bayern).

Gavi will likely start on the bench and his participation would likely be very limited even if he does feature. Similarly, Dani Olmo could also feature in a cameo appearance if Hansi Flick chooses to go down that route. As for Fermin Lopez, it seems like Hansi Flick is a lot more optimistic about the kind of role he could end up playing.

All three players could provide a great amount of versatility and options to Flick’s team. Moreover, they would also bring some much-needed depth that would be crucial for Barcelona to handle the burden of this exhaustive football calendar in which injuries and fatigue play a massive role.
