The powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona are keeping a close eye on the development of a member of the club’s loan army.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Álex Valle as the player in question.
Defender Valle for his part sealed an exit from Catalunya’s capital during the summer, taking his talents to Scottish champions Celtic for the duration of the campaign.
And, over recent weeks, the 20-year-old has begun to showcase flashes of individual brilliance.
Since overcoming some early teething problems with the Bhoys, Valle has managed eight total appearances, chipping in with a trio of assists along the way.
The Spaniard was recently even named in the Scottish Premiership Team of the Week.
And such endeavours, as alluded to above, have not gone at all unnoticed on the part of his parent club.
As per a report from Sport, amid an ongoing search for reinforcements at left-back with a view to the 2025/26 campaign:
‘The sporting management is therefore closely monitoring Alex Valle.’
It is added that ‘Valle could have stayed in the squad this season after having had a good pre-season, but his departure was necessary for fair play purposes.’
