Barcelona boss Flick provides Lamine Yamal injury update before Sevilla | OneFootball

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has provided an update on the wellbeing of star winger Lamine Yamal.

This of course comes after Lamine set alarm bells ringing across Catalunya’s capital earlier this week.

After being subjected to a physically trying 90 minutes in Spain’s Nations League meeting with Denmark, the 17-year-old was released early from Luis de la Fuente’s camp.

Lamine has spent the days since recovering at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, albeit with his status to feature in Barcelona’s La Liga meeting with Sevilla on Sunday having remained somewhat up in the air.

Speaking during his pre-match press conference this afternoon, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of his young attacker’s wellbeing was quickly put to the aforementioned Hansi Flick.

And, in a boost for all associated with the Blaugrana, Flick went on to confirm:

“I spoke to Lamine. He is fine. I thank Luis de la Fuente for resting him.”
