Barcelona attacker ecstatic after Copa Del Rey triumph – “Motivation to face what’s coming” | OneFootball

Barcelona secured their first Copa Del Rey since 2021 as they beat Real Madrid 3-2 in a nail-biting finale.

In a game where Barça should have been awarded multiple penalties, the club had to rely on a late goal from Jules Kounde in Extra Time to secure the victory over Real Madrid, who had plenty of favours from the referees.

One of the heroes for Barcelona in this equally heroic victory was Ferran Torres. The Spaniard produced an excellent shift in attack and scored the all-important equaliser late in regular time.

Ferran Torres was ecstatic after Barcelona’s triumph in the Copa Del Rey. The Spaniard, after all, has played a key role in the club’s road to success.

Indeed, the Spaniard scored as many as six goals in the tournament, more than any other player in the competition.

Talking about his Copa Del Rey season, Ferran said (h/t FCB World), “I try to work hard, be consistent, and in the end I have the talent to make things go my way.”

Ferran went on to answer a question about Barcelona’s triumph and whether or not this will mark a new chapter for the club.

“I don’t know if it’s the beginning of a new era, but it’s definitely a boost of energy and motivation to face what’s coming,” he said.

Ferran Torres’ commitment and desire to score goals have been a major positive for Barcelona in the second half of the campaign.

But the job is only half done so far, with the Catalans also looking to seal the La Liga title in the coming weeks. They also have a challenging task against Inter Milan in the Champions League semifinal.

“Right now, I feel tired, but also very happy. I think this is the right time to bring joy to the fans, and to ourselves as well, to prepare for what’s to come.

“Now we have to enjoy this, but without excess, because as you saw inside the match, you may equalize at the last minute, and this is just the beginning,” Ferran said about the road ahead.

Barcelona fans will hope Ferran can continue his goalscoring form, at least until Robert Lewandowski comes back to full fitness.
