FC Barcelona got to the end of the last summer transfer window with only two additions to their squad, i.e., Dani Olmo and Pau Victor. But with the departures of some important players like Ilkay Gundogan, Joao Felix, Joao Cancelo, and Oriol Romeu, the Catalan team is left in an overall weaker position.

However, the next summer transfer window is expected to be livelier for Barcelona, as it will be the last transfer window before the next presidential elections. The Joan Laporta administration will thus be looking to incorporate two big names in that window to go into the elections in a better position.

According to SPORT, one of the names that really entices the officials at the Catalan club is that of the Bayern Munich forward, Jamal Musiala. The €130m-rated Bayern star’s current contract is set to expire in 2026, and with a renewal agreement not yet reached, he is in the sights of the top European clubs.

Next summer, he will only have one year left on his contract, and Bayern will have to decide whether they sell him or retain him in hopes of a renewal. For now, the Bavarian club’s priority is to keep him associated with the club as long as possible, and their President even expressed the desire to make Musiala their new Thomas Muller.

However, despite his contractual situation, getting him will not be easy for Barcelona. His starting price is going to be €130 million. But this barrier can be overcome if the Blaugranes are able to reach an agreement with Nike.

Furthermore, other clubs, including Real Madrid are also going to be in competition for his signature. The Merengues’ top priority will be the Manchester City midfielder Rodri, but they can also make two high-profile signings next summer, and have been following Musiala for some time now.

Meanwhile, Bayern will also try their best to get him renewed, and in fact, have already sent him their first proposal.

However, the player himself has given some hints about his affection for Barcelona and Lionel Messi and has also openly praised Pedri in the past. He also grew at an immense rate under Flick, and the German coach’s presence at Barcelona can also help them land the Bayern star.
