Atlético Madrid star’s exit gets the ‘here we go’ | OneFootball

La Liga giants Atlético Madrid have agreed a deal to part ways with a leading member of the club’s midfield ranks.

That’s according to market insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Rodrigo De Paul as the player in question.

The name of Argentine international De Paul has of course proven a prominent one in the headlines in Spain’s capital for several weeks now.

This comes after word was forthcoming that the World Cup winner had been earmarked as a leading transfer target on the part of Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami.

With Atlético fresh off tying up a deal for Johnny Cardoso, De Paul, in turn, was identified as disposable by Diego Simeone and co.

And as alluded to above, following a fresh round of talks between the parties this week, Inter Miami now appear to have landed their man.

As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano:

‘Rodrigo de Paul to Inter Miami, here we go! Verbal agreement in place with all parties. Atlético Madrid set to receive fee in the region of €15m. De Paul to sign four year deal at Inter Miami.’
