Athletic Club midfielder Ander Herrera took issue with the behavior of some of the fans of his team during the recent match against Roma.

The Giallorossi fans started singing after 15 minutes, to protest against De Rossi’s dismissal.

The Basque fans, on the other hand, made themselves noticed immediately after the equalizing goal by throwing a flare at the Giallorossi fans.

Ander Herrera also spoke about the episode in an interview with the club.

“We have a strange feeling, because we played a good match and collected a positive point, but everything is overshadowed by what we saw.”

“I understand that in a moment of anger the worst comes out in the form of an insult, but it doesn’t cross my mind to throw a flare that can kill a person. There is no explanation for it.”
