In a recent report, former scout Mick Brown mentioned that Aston Villa talent Jacob Ramsey is open to a switch to Tottenham Hotspur. Brown said,
“Jacob Ramsey has to make a decision.
“In his own mind, he’ll weigh up whether he thinks he’s going to be a regular in the Villa team.
“If that’s not the case, he has to ask the same question about whether he would be at Tottenham.
“From what I hear, Spurs would be prepared to offer him more minutes from the start of games than he is currently getting at Villa.
“If that is the case, I’m sure he would be happy to make that move.
“He’s had doubts about whether he’s going to be a regular starting XI player at Villa, or if he’s going to be better served moving somewhere else.
“So a move to Tottenham would be a fresh start and a new environment for him.
“There have been a few questions about what his future at Villa might look like, because the manager isn’t certain he’s going to be a big part of the plans.
“That opens the door for Spurs, because Thomas Frank likes rates him and he’s one they’ve been interested in for a while.“
Ramsey enjoyed a good run of form at the West Midlands club as he put in a series of impressive displays in the Premier League. The 24-year-old banged in four goals and earned seven assists in 46 matches for Aston Villa last season across all competitions.

His current contract at Villa Park will run out in the summer of 2027 which could open the door for the West Midlands club to consider this off-season.
Ramsey is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with the ball out in the wide areas. He can strike the ball with venom from long range and has got the vision to engineer some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third.
We can expect Ramsey to bring more firepower to Tottenham boss Thomas Frank’s attack. He is good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at the North London club in the coming seasons.
At 24, Ramsey has his peak years ahead of him which makes him a good choice for Spurs to consider in this summer transfer period. All in all, the Villans would be wise to snap the English attacker up this off-season.
