Aston Villa have announced Natalia Arroyo as the new Head Coach of their WSL side.

Arroyo joins from Real Sociedad, where she spent four seasons in charge, leading them to a Copa de la Reina final appearance and a second-placed finish in Liga F.

“We are delighted to welcome Natalia to the football club," said Monchi, Head of Football Operations at Villa.  “Natalia impressed us with her passion for football and approach to coaching.

“We believe she has all the necessary tools to succeed at Aston Villa.”

The Spanish coach has signed a three-year deal and will take charge of the squad ahead of next weekend’s Barclays WSL fixture against Chelsea, pending visa approval.
