Aston Villa forward Hanson signs new deal | OneFootball

Aston Villa forward Kirsty Hanson has signed a new contract with the club.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Villans this afternoon.

The 27-year-old Halifax-born attacker has signed a new two-year deal until summer 2027.

Hanson initially joined Aston Villa on loan from former club Manchester United for the 2022/2023 season. The player impressed in her time with the Midlands club and she opted to join Aston Villa permanently in summer 2023. Hanson has gone on to make 74 appearances for the club in all competitions.

In her time with Aston Villa, Hanson has helped the club to record two top half of the table finishes. She has been involved in many of the goals that Aston Villa have scored over the course of the last three seasons.

Hanson is the fifth first team player to sign a contract extension with Aston Villa during the close season. Sarah Mayling, Rachel Daly, Anna Patten and Lucy Staniforth have also opted to extend their deals beyond this summer. Head coach Natalia Arroyo’s squad should have a familiar feel to it going into the new season.
