Aston Villa are leading the race to sign Chelsea winger Noni Madueke, according to sources from Give Me Sport. With Chelsea reportedly willing to consider offers when the summer transfer window opens, Unai Emery’s side could be poised to pounce. This potential move comes as the Villans look to add more creativity to their final third, following the lucrative sale of Jhon Duran to Al-Nassr for a reported £71 million.
The potential availability of Madueke has ignited fresh optimism among Aston Villa supporters. Chelsea’s willingness to entertain offers, particularly if it allows them to make a marginal profit, signals an opportunity that Villa may not want to miss. Signed for around £30 million from PSV Eindhoven in January 2023, the England international has shown glimpses of his potential but has struggled to cement his place in Chelsea’s evolving squad.

According to Give Me Sport, the club’s recruitment team views this summer as an ideal window to make their move. Madueke’s output of 12 goal contributions this season highlights his ability to make an impact when given the chance. However, with Chelsea continuing to reassess their attacking options, the 21-year-old could face limited game time, making a transfer more plausible.
While Aston Villa are considered frontrunners, Newcastle United are also expected to be in the mix for the winger’s signature. This could drive up the price or force Villa to act swiftly to secure the deal. Sources claim that Madueke would be open to a move if it becomes clear that his opportunities at Chelsea may be limited moving forward.
One insider told Give Me Sport, “There’s confidence within Villa’s camp that Chelsea would be willing to sell if a strong offer is made, allowing them to make a marginal profit on the player they signed just a year ago.”

Unai Emery has been determined to bolster his squad’s attacking options since arriving at Villa Park. The addition of Madueke could add much-needed pace and flair, complementing the club’s existing forward line. With Ian Maatsen making the switch from Chelsea to Aston Villa for £37.5 million less than 12 months ago, the relationship between the clubs could prove advantageous once again.
Chelsea, on the other hand, are not expected to stand still when it comes to their forward line. The club has been linked with several high-profile targets as they look to rejuvenate their attack. As a result, Madueke might find himself squeezed out of the equation, increasing Villa’s chances of securing his services.

From an Aston Villa fan’s perspective, the potential signing of Noni Madueke would be a breath of fresh air. His dynamic style and electric pace could revitalise a forward line that has at times lacked ingenuity. The departure of Jhon Duran has left a gap that needs filling, and Madueke could be the perfect fit to slot into Unai Emery’s tactical vision.
Of course, the prospect of competition from Newcastle United is concerning, but Villa’s proactive approach under Emery and the presence of Monchi in the recruitment department inspire confidence. If the club can secure Madueke for a reasonable fee, it would be a shrewd acquisition that aligns with the long-term strategy of building a squad capable of challenging for European places.
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea’s stance will change as the window approaches, but Villa fans will be hoping the club can act decisively and capitalise on the uncertainty surrounding Madueke’s future at Stamford Bridge.
