Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice is set to miss the Carabao Cup quarter-final against Crystal Palace tonight, according to former Sky Sports producer Connor Humm.

Humm shared the update this afternoon, claiming the England international is now out of the game.

Rice was withdrawn in the 62nd minute during the goalless against Everton on Saturday following a knock, and the Gunners have decided to rest him tonight.

Arsenal return to Premier League action on Saturday with a trip to Selhurst Park to face Palace, and manager Mikel Arteta will hope Rice can return to action by then.

Plenty of fringe players are expected to get a chance tonight, and the midfielder would not have been expected to start if he was fit.

While the Gunners boss is set to ring the changes tonight, some senior players will be in the line-up and on the bench as Arsenal would love to advance to the semi-finals.

Ending the season without silverware would be regarded as a failure for Arsenal, and the Carabao Cup is an opportunity for them to add more silverware to their trophy cabinet.

Raheem Sterling and Ethan Nwaneri are likely to start tonight, and they will both be desperate to show Arteta they deserve to play more.

Arsenal are favourites against the Eagles at the Emirates Stadium, but they cannot afford to underestimate the visitors after dropping points in their last two Premier League games.
