Raya, who was also named the Premier League’s Save of the Month winner in August, received 44% of the votes in the club’s monthly poll, finishing above Gabriel, Bukayo Saka, and William Saliba, winning his first Player of the Month accolade as a Gunner.

The goalkeeper’s standout moment came during Arsenal’s UEFA Champions League draw against Atalanta, where he produced a stunning double save to deny Mateo Retegui‘s penalty and subsequent follow-up.

Raya’s contributions also included keeping a clean sheet in the north London derby victory over Tottenham Hotspur, a performance that underscored his composure and command in big matches.

Additionally, he played a crucial role in Arsenal’s hard-fought draw at the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City, making multiple crucial saves during a relentless second-half onslaught by the reigning champions.

Raya’s efforts ensured Arsenal left with a share of the points, demonstrating his ability to step up on the biggest stage. He also helped secure a 4-2 win at home against Leicester City, conceding only via a wicked deflection and a wonder goal.

Statistically, Raya’s performances have been impressive over the last 12 months.

His Goals Against rate of 0.75 per 90 minutes places him in the 99th percentile, illustrating his effectiveness at limiting the opposition. His save percentage sits at 73.5%, and his clean sheet percentage is an impressive 47.7%, placing him in the 98th percentile for goalkeepers.
