Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are gearing up for a massive UEFA Champions League semifinal, with just 180 minutes separating them from a place in the final. The two sides met earlier in the group stage, but PSG have made noticeable strides since then.

Arsenal punched their ticket to the semifinals with a strong 2-1 win over Real Madrid in the second leg, wrapping up an impressive 5-1 aggregate victory.

PSG also moved on with a 5-1 aggregate edge, but their journey was far more dramatic, narrowly edging past their opponents with a 5-4 overall scoreline.

Both teams head into this clash after some recent stumbles. PSG were held to a 1-1 draw by FC Nantes and suffered a surprising defeat to OGC Nice, ending their unbeaten run in Ligue 1. Meanwhile, Arsenal played to a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace.

Despite the draw for the Gunners, they received good news on Monday ahead of the match against PSG on Tuesday.

Football London’s Tom Canton reports that Ben White and Mikel Merino are both back in training for Arsenal ahead of their match with the Parisians at Emirates Stadium.

It will be interesting to see if these two players will be ready to go for 90 minutes or will be the first option off the bench if Arsenal manager Mike Arteta needs to make any in-game adjustments.

Nonetheless, it appears that the Ligue 1 side will need to prepare to take the English club’s best shot in the first 90 minutes.
