Real Madrid forward Rodrygo continues to find himself at the centre of transfer speculation, but one potential destination has now officially closed its doors.
According to reports from Defensa Central, Arsenal have pulled out of the race to sign the Brazilian attacker after finalising their deal for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze.
Rodrygo’s future has been a hot topic throughout the summer, as signs increasingly suggest he is no longer a key part of Xabi Alonso’s project.
Despite his talent and previous contributions, his role at the Santiago Bernabeu appears to have diminished, leaving his future uncertain with the transfer window entering its decisive stage.
Arsenal were one of the clubs strongly linked with the forward, but their recent €78 million agreement with Palace for Eze has put an end to any chance of a move for Rodrygo.
Eze has signed a long-term contract until 2030, which closes the door on Arsenal’s interest in Rodrygo once and for all.

With Arsenal no longer in the picture, the only Premier League club still keeping an eye on Rodrygo is Liverpool.
However, the Merseyside outfit are currently focused on their negotiations for Alexander Isak. Should those talks collapse, Liverpool could use the final week of the window to pursue Rodrygo instead.
The situation leaves the Brazilian’s future hanging in the balance. Madrid have not completely ruled out his departure, especially given the incident against Osasuna that reportedly left him unsettled.
Still, the lack of concrete offers makes an exit increasingly complicated.
For now, Rodrygo remains in limbo – not central to Alonso’s plans and with limited options in the market.
The next few days will be decisive in determining whether he stays to fight for a place or makes a late move away from the Bernabeu.
