Paris Saint-Germain dropped a wild one to Aston Villa on Tuesday night, losing 3-2 at Villa Park in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal. But thanks to their strong showing in the first leg, PSG still punched their ticket to the semifinals with a 5-4 win on aggregate. They’ll face either Arsenal or Real Madrid next.

PSG came out flying and looked to have the tie wrapped up early. Achraf Hakimi opened the scoring in the 11th minute, and Nuno Mendes doubled the lead in the 27th to make it 5-1 on aggregate. With a four-goal cushion, it looked like cruise control from there—but Aston Villa had other ideas.

Youri Tielemans gave the home fans a reason to believe with a 34th-minute strike, and the momentum swung after halftime. John McGinn scored in the 55th minute, and Ezri Konsa followed up just two minutes later to make it 5-4 on aggregate.

Villa kept pushing until the final whistle, but PSG managed to weather the storm and hold on to their Champions League hopes.

With PSG now in the semifinals, the Ligue 1 side will await the winner of the Arsenal-Real Madrid tie with the Gunners holding a 3-0 aggregate lead. After edging out Aston Villa, PSG manager Luis Enrique was asked which side he’d prefer to face?

“Real Madrid or Arsenal? I don’t have a preferred opponent,” Enrique said (h/t Le10Sport). “I’m just going to enjoy the match with a cold beer. Tomorrow (Wednesday), I’ll make myself some dinner and watch the Real Madrid-Arsenal game in peace. It’ll be special no matter what—whether it’s an English or Spanish club.”
