Arsenal officially announce arrival of Hincapié

Piero Hincapié has joined Arsenal on loan for the 2025/26 season.

The long-discussed negotiations have finally concluded successfully, with the Gunners announcing the arrival of the Ecuadorian centre-back, who joins the North London side on loan from Bayer Leverkusen.

With no indication of an option or mandatory purchase clause, the 23-year-old athlete will thus have his first experience in England, after four seasons in Germany.

After debuting in senior football with Independiente del Valle, Hincapié moved to Argentina where he played for Talleres.

After moving to Europe, Hincapié amassed a total of 166 games, seven goals, and seven assists for Bayer Leverkusen and was part of the team that lifted the Bundesliga under Xabi Alonso.
