Serie A side Bologna could lose Riccardo Calafiori to Arsenal, who are offering a significant wage to the Italian this summer.

It was reported earlier today that Arsenal are making progress in a move for the defender and TuttoBologna have reported that Arsenal continue to push for the player’s signature and they aim to close the move as soon as they can. While they are yet to reach an agreement with Bologna, their wish to meet their demands gives them a significant advantage over the other clubs, with Chelsea also in the race.

Arsenal are willing to offer a wage of €4 million per season to the ex-Roma man, for whom the Rossoblu want €50 million for a permanent sale. But Bologna are also preparing to offer the defender a new deal that could hand him a significant wage, as they prepare to play in the Champions League next season.
