Paris Saint-Germain will need prominent performances from all their players if they want to leave Emirates Stadium with all three points against Arsenal. Nonetheless, one expert singled out a specific player who needs to elevate their game.

On Matchday 1, the capital club failed to convert their scoring chances against Girona FC. Eventually, the Ligue 1 side would receive luck and score off a goalkeeper mistake.

Nonetheless, failing to convert their chances against the Gunners can come back to haunt them, as Arsenal have a more talented squad than Girona. Moreover, the Parisians probably want to show that the match against the La Liga club was a one-off and not the norm.

Ahead of the clash, CBS Sports’ Jonathan Johnson highlighted that Randal Kolo Muani should start this contest against the Premier League side and has to be the X-factor in this match.

“Who knows, maybe Randal Kolo Muani does get the chance from the start to show what he can do because I think the physicality, the direct threat that he can offer, is certainly something that PSG could use up against an Arsenal,” Johnson said in the latest PSG Talking podcast.

“This is the game where you bring Randal Kolo Muani in. It’ll be a great source of motivation for him. I think if he does play, then he really needs to put in a top performance, not just in order to avoid being swept away by this false nine experimentation thing, but also it continues to help him rebuild his confidence, which obviously was quite damaged given the competition he played since last season. And the fact that I would have really expected to have seen a bit more of him so far since the injury to Ramos.”

Since arriving at PSG last summer, Kolo Muani has had a rollercoaster ride. The forward has made 47 appearances, scoring 11 goals and recording six assists. It will be interesting to see what manager Luis Enrique decides to do with his starting XI and whether the Frenchman is part of that.
