Paris Saint-Germain striker Gonçalo Ramos suffered an injury during the capital club’s 4-1 win over Le Havre on Friday. Although reports surfaced that manager Luis Enrique wants a No. 9, that might not be the case.

Ramos played 20 minutes in the match against Le Havre and set up Kang-in Lee’s goal just three minutes in. The 23-year-old would exit the contest early in the first half following his injury.

Le Parisien reported that Ramos is set to miss three months after fracturing his left ankle and will need surgery to repair it. Moreover, Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport reported that PSG are now in the market for a new striker following Ramos’ injury.

However, Foot Mercato and L’Equipe report otherwise as the capital club doesn’t intend to pursue another striker. The information also reveals that PSG have complete faith in Randal Kolo Muani and strongly trusts their other attacking players and the club’s young talents.

If this is the stance the Parisians are taking, then it should rule them Victor Osimhen, who has been linked to Arsenal and Chelsea.

Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg recently reported that Chelsea are still trying to sign the 25-year-old striker and has heard that Arsenal made a casual inquiry a few weeks ago.
