In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Arsenal are facing stiff competition for Inter Milan ace Marcus Thuram this summer. It has been revealed that the Gunners would have to rival Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Chelsea in pursuit of the French striker later this year.

Thuram is having a productive campaign at San Siro as he has managed to produce a run of fruitful displays for Inter in the final third. The 26-year-old has found the back of the net on 14 occasions and picked up 13 assists in 43 matches for the Italian club this season across all fronts.

The French talent has been a good performer in the opposition half based on his average of 2.2 shots, 0.8 key passes and 1.0 dribbles per 90 minutes in Serie A. However, he needs to improve his ball distribution after completing 73% of his attempted passes in the top tier of Italian football (stats via whoscored).

His current contract at the Italian club will expire in the summer of 2028 which would make it tough for the Gunners to land him on a cut-price deal in the upcoming transfer period.

What Will Thuram Bring To Arsenal?

Thuram is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make some dangerous runs with the ball in and around the opposition penalty area. He can shoot the ball with power and accuracy from long range and has got the vision to create a few meaningful openings for others around him in the final third.

The French attacker is primarily a centre-forward but can also fill in as a left-sided wide player if told to do so. He has done well to chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals for Inter this season.

We can expect Thuram to bring more firepower to Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta’s frontline. He is more than capable of challenging for a regular starting spot at the North London club if he can make a smooth transition to life in Premier League football. At 26, Thuram is about to enter his prime which makes him a great option for the Gunners to pursue later this year.
