Jakub Kiwior’s Arsenal career has gone through something of a resurgence in the last few months, following the unfortunate injury to Gabriel Magalhaes.

Kiwior had struggled for minutes in the first half of the season, and he’d probably be the first to admit he hadn’t been able to find a rhythm on the occasions he was thrown back in.

But that changed with Gabriel out, as he impressed and notably helped to guide Arsenal through a Champions League quarter-final against Real Madrid.

Reflecting back on that period, Kiwior admitted he’s grateful for the love the fans showed him.

“I really felt the fans’ support, especially after those matches (against Real Madrid),” Kiwior told AFTV.

“I’d like to say a big thank you for all the support. For me and the whole team, it means a lot. It makes us feel that Arsenal is not just about the players, coaches, and staff, but also about the amazing fans who are such a big part of the club.”

Even so, Kiwior added that he wouldn’t advise putting too much stock in what people say online.

“Nowadays, the best advice I could give would be: don’t read pointless online comments, always give 100%, and never get discouraged if you’re not in the starting lineup—keep fighting for your place,” Kiwior said.

Kiwior is likely to face a battle for his spot again next season, assuming he sticks around. Following his impressive end to 2024/25, there are a few genuine suitors hoping he might consider moving on from Arsenal.

The good news is that if he stays, it sounds like the 25-year-old is up for the fight.
