Marko Arnautovic insists Inter ‘have to believe’ in their chances of winning the Treble – which would be his second – while Yann Bisseck enjoys his goal against Cagliari.
The pressure was on the Nerazzurri, the only Italian side still in competition for Serie A, the Champions League and the Coppa Italia.
Despite Tuesday’s stunning 2-1 victory away to Bayern Munich, squad rotation was kept to a minimum and they got all three points, beating Cagliari 3-1.
Arnautovic was inspirational in the first half, scoring and assisting for Lautaro Martinez, while Bisseck made sure the Roberto Piccoli free header was only a painless blip.

Serie A MVP Arnautovic was part of the Inter squad that won the Treble in 2010, so he could in theory be one of the few players to get that hat-trick on two different occasions.
“We are Inter, so naturally we believe, but there’s a long way to go. I was at the 2010 Treble, but it was basically like being a fan cheering them on,” the Austria international told DAZN.
Jose Mourinho, who was the coach of that 2010 team, claimed that Arnautovic urged him to focus on himself rather than Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who left in the summer of 2009.
“No, that’s a lie, I would never say that, I have too much respect for him. I was happy to be with those champions, but now we look forward,” assured Arnautovic.
Inter are therefore sure they will remain at least three points clear of Napoli at the top of the Serie A table when they host Bayern Munich for the second leg of that Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday evening.
“It took me a while to score another goal, but I am happy we played well and must continue like this,” Bisseck told DAZN.
“Sometimes we feel a bit tired at the start of the second half, but we reacted well this time.”
