It’s Trophy Day for Celtic or for the rest of the teams in the Scottish Premiership, it’s merely the last day of another unsuccessful campaign.

The trophy string back at Paradise is a familiar sight at this time of year but one we will never tire of and long may it continue.

This afternoon we take on St Mirren at Celtic Park as season 2024/25 comes to a close and afterwards we will be presented with the league trophy for the fourth consecutive year, and our 13th in the last 14 campaigns so it’s safe to say it’s an all so familiar feeling. Only a global pandemic could stop us.

But despite the familiarity it’s still as precious as ever to see the Celtic players parade the trophy around Paradise and it’s a sight we will never tire of.

Despite claims from rival supporters and the sick as a parrot hacks in the SMSM that it must get ‘tedious’ and ‘stale’ to see the green and white ribbons on the trophy – not a chance, nothing could be further from the truth.

Every single title win is one to cherish and the supporters feel the same sense of pride and joy no matter if it’s the ‘55th’ or the 1st, they are all precious and we will cherish each and every one of them in the very same way.

The Celtic family will congregate as one today as the supporters, the players, and the management team etc, celebrate a job well done as yet another title win is added to our already impressive trophy haul as we further consolidate ourselves as the most successful club in Glasgow.

Enjoy every moment and have a wee thought for family and friends no longer with us who would be as delighted as anyone in the 60,000 crowd today. They gave us Celtic and what a gift that was.

Everyone get ready to sing for Jamesy Forrest on the wing. If he gets that goal the roof is coming off!

After Paradise enjoy your afternoon and evening and if you are going to Trongate use the bins and toilet facilities so helpfully provided by Glasgow City Council who will be out enjoying their VE Day March that somehow is over a week late. Timing a coincidence? Pigs might fly.

We are the Champions!
