Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Rohl believes that there is not a single game in the Championship where the Owls can win by being at 80 to 90 per cent.
After narrowly escaping relegation last season, Rohl’s side have not enjoyed the brightest of starts to their season this time around.
After 15 games in the league, Sheffield Wednesday have managed just 18 points and have already lost seven games.
Drawing references from the games against QPR, Luton, Burnley and Swansea, the Sheffield Wednesday manager insisted that matches can be decided by fine margins.
The need therefore is to be at the full 100 per cent in every game they play as being 80 or even 90 per cent will not be enough in the Championship, Rohl believes.
“I look not to so often to the opponent but I count our games now: QPR, then we go to Luton, even Burnley, we go to Swansea”, Rohl told the BBC.
“There’s always the feeling that there’s more in the game.
“I think this is the difference in this league.
“Bring the small details or the small moments on your side, then you will win games.
“If you have a good day and everything must be 100 per cent, we don’t have one game where we can win with 80 per cent or 85 per cent or 90 per cent.
“Some opponents have this and I understand it’s the reason they are on top.
“We have to do everything right.”
Having lost two of their last five league games, the Owls have now gone into the international break and will play Cardiff City next when they return to action the following weekend.
