Thomas Muller reckons talk of Bayern Munich coming to Celtic Park and walking out with an easy win is for the birds.

The German attacker has been around the block in football long enough to know that at this stage of European competition, there are no certainties nor simple ties.
Muller of course played against Celtic before during Brendan Rodgers’ initial spell in the Parkhead hot-seat.
In a group of death, we were drawn against Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Belgian side Anderlecht, in what was an extremely challenging group stage campaign in 2017. The Bundesliga champions won 2-1 at Celtic Park that year and narrowly escaped with a win.

The Celts were really good on the night but a momentary lapse in concentration cost us dearly, not long after we had equalised on the night.
That Javi Martinez header was a bitter pill to swallow after we had played so well but we gave just about as good as we got that evening and created one hell of am atmosphere for the match. 35-year-old Muller still fondly remembers that vociferous atmosphere that night under the lights at Paradise and admits it will be tough to roll over this Celtic team in such an environment.

“Anyone who underestimates the Scots has never experienced them at Celtic Park,” he said via Daily Record. “This atmosphere is amazing; this will be a real highlight. And after that, either Leverkusen or Atlético Madrid would be waiting for us. So get your beer cold, February is going to be an exciting football month.”
