Ange Postecoglou turning into a Mikel Arteta – Sad to see

I have to say, until recently I liked Ange Postecoglou.

Calm and unruffled, with a dry sense of humour.

The bloke though is sadly losing it now.

Ange Postecoglou coming across as an embittered, rattled man.

Clearly very much agitated and under pressure (only five points from a possible last 24) after Newcastle United’s 2-1 win at Spurs.

Following the game, Ange Postecoglou claiming:

“… if all things were equal and balanced we [Spurs] would have won today.”

In the game that I watched… there were a number of shouts for them. Such as handballs from Joelinton and Burn, which in my view both accidental.

However, the clearest direct comparison for me, was when Kulusevski took out Anthony Gordon in the penalty area VVD style, drawing blood and with the MOTD commentator saying “nothing wrong with that!”

No caution for Kulusevski and no question of a penalty from the referee or the VAR.

On the other hand, James Maddison runs into Sven Botman just outside our penalty area, goes down poleaxed, as he so often does, resulting in Botman getting a yellow card and Spurs a free-kick in a dangerous position!

Clearly fair and balanced???

Not to mention the shocking reckless high ‘challenge’ from Solanke on Martin Dubravka, that flattened the United keeper. Yet once again, no caution for a Spurs player.

In reality, some you get and some you don’t, you move on.

Sadly, a good man in Ange Postecoglou is clearly now feeling the pressure (five points from the last possible twenty four), turning into another embittered whingeing Mikel Arteta!
